Rock climbing wall in swimming pools

Rock

It looks like your typical rock climbing wall that you would see on land, but it starts three or four feet under water so you can get in it from the water level. It's arched outward so basically when you get to the top or you get as far as you can climb, you simply just drop into the deep end. The rock climbing wall is attached this to the swimming pool and the climbers can use the water as the safety cushion. Open to kids and the kids at heart. Although, the kids should remain supervised though.

@cmcdonaldcr how cool is this!

Finally! A way to climb one of those without having your nuts clamped up in a harness and ropes all over the place!

You'd have to do a weird fall but I could see someone topheavy falling the wrong way and clipping their leg. Might be overthinking it though.

@jgutierrezcv ?Iwould not like my grand kids to use it , as it not leaned far enough into the swimming pool .

  • Reply

@jgutierrezcv It overhangs into the water. No possible way to hit the side with a limb

@mfoxcx Unlikely yes, but there are some special, special people around that are prone to dumb injuries like the one described.

  • Reply

@mfoxcx As a lifeguard this kind of concerns me being close to the wall

Please don't forget diving boards... It's a sport that can lead to great opportunities. However, I wish a lot more pools had these because they're great physical activity and engage A LOT of muscle groups and are REALLY fun.

@cgordond0 ?Isn't this the poop that they spent millions on , state of the art , Olympic sized pool. LMAO.

  • Reply

@cgordond0 When it was first built , the makers made it a couple feet too short ,so they had to tear it up and add a few feet. LMAO.

Has no one seen these before!??

@ddayd3 With my luck, I would slip and bash my kneecap off one of those things.

  • Reply

@ddayd3 Thats looks like it would be mildly fun for like 45 seconds

@rfieldsd4 Not for a kid.

@ckelleyd6 ?They'll love it for hours! There's so much you can do with it. Have someone time you, use only a certain colour of the holds, use both hands and one foot, use only your hands, close your eyes, only use every other hold.?

@vbennettdc Being the negative Nancy here. I can foresee a lot of liability already.

  • Reply

@vbennettdc ?I'll make you do this so that you can fall and break your neck

  • Reply

@holiverde Someone will scrape their knee or something and sue and it will be taken away, just like diving boards were.
