Baby massage

Baby

Nothing ruins a good night's sleep like a child. Most parents learn the hard way that sleep is terribly underrated. Before you had a kid, sure, you thought you cared about sleep, but it wasn't the most precious. Infant or baby massage may help your baby sleep well at night and during naps. Studies show that infants who are massaged by their parents before bed tend to fall asleep faster, sleep more deeply, and stay asleep longer. Good news indeed, for all the moms and dads with the bad and big eyebags out there!

@fchapmanny Baby massage should be started within 30 -45 days after baby birth so we advise you to wait for some time. As per Ayurveda, Sesame based oil is the best for Baby massage

Olive oil is present in every massage oil

  • Reply

@telliotto3 Hi No, olive oil is not present in every massage oil. Make sure the oil which you are using should not be olive oil based but if it is present in traces then there is no harm of it. In winters prefer sesame based oil

Ask the baby if wants to be touched

  • Reply

@fweavero6 Should I ask him he/she's permission to change his/her's diaper too??

  • Reply

@fweavero6 I do agree, its ridiculous to ask the baby, i would be better to say, massage time! with excitement or Let's massage just so by some time baby understands wen u say such a thing wat u do always...?

  • Reply

@jpattersono7 It is actually incredibly important. I am attending massage school, and in a class I had on infant massage, they taught us the importance of getting consent, especially when handling another persons child

  • Reply

@fweavero6 I always did this with my babies, I kind of thought it was a natural motherly thing to do that.

  • Reply

@atayloro9 What's the point of asking the baby for permission if he can't answer? He's not going to say no bitch, unhand me immediately! I want to be alone!

babies thrive better with plenty of loving touch from mommy and daddy, though I don't think the permission thing is necessary at all.?
