Stem cells research for organ growing

Stem

More people are waiting to receive an organ transplant. But due to a shortage of viable organs, it's likely that fewer transplants will be performed. In other countries where the shortage is worse, the number of people in need of new organs is 10 times as great as the number of deceased donors who could provide one. Scientists and doctors are working together to grow organs for organ transplant. This could help most people avoid a long waiting list from transplant patients and save lives.

@jdavisba This breakthrough could have been used to help treat Christopher Reeve, but Big Brother stepped in and smacked it down faster than a bolt of lightning striking a tree

  • Reply

@jdavisba To be honest with you it ain't for us that's for the elites to have

  • Reply

@vwardbc The elites?? Yeah no. For everyone if we had a one payer insurance option.

@vwardbc Nah they will totally market this towards the middle class ppl...

Now if they only realize you can use stem cells as adhesive to reattach served nerves, and they will do it at a faster rate then simply sewing them together.

@sgonzalesbt I was reading in a popular science article that Kidneys are proving to be more complex to grow or print because there are more specialized cells in a kidney?

  • Reply

@sgonzalesbt I know, but still.....personally I'd start there since it's the most complex.

  • Reply

@mcarpenterbv At least with kidneys there is dialysis.
