Water purification in faucets

Water

Don't put yourself at risk drinking impure H2O. Faucet water filters are a step-up from the water filter pitcher in terms of how many contaminants they filter. The faucet filter is the most economical choice of tap water filters that selectively filter contaminants, without removing healthy minerals. But there is a slight hitch to this concept, the biggest challenge is finding one that fits snug on your faucet and does not leak and the filters need to be changed fairly frequently, about every 3 months or so.

@rallenku I use a Brita Faucet filter. I have used one for years. It tastes far far better than regular tap water.?

@ccarpenterkw The sure fire way to have clean water is with Reverse Osmosis

@ccarpenterkw I bought this made a huge difference in taste.

@ccarpenterkw The Brita that I bought does not work right. It is virtually impossible to change the switch without a wrench and even then, water comes out both outlets.

@asullivanlm How is this different than the straw like filters soldiers are issued or the small ones you can buy in any outdoor shop ?

  • Reply

@mlewislo Didn't Bill Gates make something like this? Except its a straw.

@dgreenlu Can this filter make swimming pool water drinkable in emergency situations?

  • Reply

This could be very useful for storms or hurricanes and other disasters

  • Reply

We can use that for our cities that sell polluted drinking water to unsuspecting families. . . and their children!!

What's a shame is that there's human beings who don't even have clean water to live off of.
