Brain computer interface

Brain

After more than a decade of engineering work, researchers have commercialized a wireless device that can be attached to a person's skull and transmit via radio thought commands collected from a brain implant. Imagine if they could create Nanobots that will flow in the brain and allow us to connect to external computer networks. Inside the device is a processor to amplify the faint electrical spikes emitted by neurons, circuits to digitize the information, and a radio to beam it a distance of a few meters to a receiver. You can access the internet just by thinking about it.

Are you wondering what all this technology is doing to our brains??

  • Reply

@amurrayb3 That could be a potential unless we have a major nuclear war/solar flare/ meteorite/ etc?

  • Reply

@amurrayb3 So, basically, you go there one day and the next, you learned all there is to know (maths, science, etc)?

  • Reply

@mfergusonb5 That wouldn't be a very good idea.

@fadamsb6 No more boring classes!

@rhenryb4 Neurons would be more like routers or devices. You're creating a misleading connection of of neurons it in our brains with this incoherent metaphor

@lgordonbd Tranfering information to a kid's brain will not matter if kid doesn't know how to use it.

@lgordonbd What you suggest is to create our children as sheep for the slaughter and play things of those who actually think

blah blah blah "this isn't magic, it's science."

  • Reply

@mcarpenterbv Same thing. Science is just magic that's been explained.

  • Reply

@mcarpenterbv This actually blew my mind when I thought of all the possibilities if this happened.

@wkimbx Think of humans as cities, and imagine our brain being the road networks.

  • Reply

@tholmesby What if someone creates a program/virus that works like mind control.

  • Reply

@mcarpenterbv Impossible.

my computer would be all over the web with how my brain works, ADD is the best

@ebowmanc1 As intriguing it sounds, i actually think it would be a disaster to the human race.

  • Reply

@awoodsc2 I also think it would create a population even more inhumane, incapable of feeling empathy for others.

  • Reply

@awoodsc2 The thought that I, for an example could learn to speak spanish in 30 sec or whatever is really awesome, but then again i hope it never will be possible.

@mwatkinsc3 Sigh why do people always claim something to be something that it isnt.
