@swood8h You'll have to put it inside another container that's transparent in order to trap the hot air. If your dutch oven is really big it might take too long to heat up.?

@swood8h In my solar cooker, I have to pretty much add an hour to the cook time (over normal solar time) to make up for the thermal mass of the cast iron.

@ljackson8x I did get cast iron cookware and when I tested it in the carshade solar cooker the temperature was 160 degrees fahrenheit in three to four hours.?

@egeorge8z learned a way to partially replicate a parabolic solar cooker by tying the sunshade between two poles affixed into the ground to make a parabola by gravity.
