This is ridiculous...so are ride sharing app valuations...especially considering that with the coming automation all of their network effects that they spent billions of dollars creating become worthless..
@ljacobs5o They have the users and their highest spend is drivers. If you take the driver's spend out of equation they would still have the brand and users.?
I doubt their brand will get users to overpay for exactly the same service since uber will still need the cars to provide the service and manufacturers who sell them will still want a profit
@dcox5s ?If I had to guess I'd say a p2p car network like the one tesla is planning will be the winner - customers buy cars then rent them out when they don't need them
@dcox5s 1hr delivery is addictive, and infectious -- if instacart can tap more markets, imo skys the limits - I have personally placed over 230 orders with instacart in the last 2 years
@rross5v ?I'm pretty sure 'insta' stands for 'instant' - you're telling me if I choose my groceries, they'll magically appear in front of me, as quickly as clicking 'Post' on Instagram?
@rross5v Unfortunately we still have to supplement by going to our local grocery store for things like a couple red onions...we can't go through a 5 or 10 lb bag
@rrodriguez66 in my experience with truck drivers over the years, I had some old school guys that talked about how good it was working for Walmart while the old man was alive .?
@fpalmer68 ?they have to deal with market fluctuations, but here lately, it's just been item after item after item that has taken a huge jump in price.?
