Wearable finger mouse

Wearable

The device itself is quite simple visually. There is a loop on the back made from a flexible material that can easily be belt to mold to the shape and size of your finger so it stays in place securely. You can use it during presentations and people have been very impressed by it. It does take some time to get used to and most people struggle with the finger straps. This is a really great and innovative product that gives using the mouse a break.

@agarza6y The first thing that struck me about the?Mycestro?was the design ? weirdly futuristic, but not so much that it's off-putting.

@agarza6y The plastic casing looks well designed, but the feel is a little on the low-budget side

@haustin70 I wouldn't advise getting too rough with the device, which could be a problem for some of us who like to treat our peripherals like durable toys as we fiddle in between browsing the web and writing an email.

@agarza6y Short answer: Yes

@haustin70 After downloading the app (using Apple's Yosemite OS on a MacBook Air) from the company's website I tried to install it but was presented with that familiar system dialogue that prevents unverified apps not in Apple's app store from being autom

@jbowman76 Has your cursor ever started to move even if you aren't moving

I bought this device because I wanted to create my ow gyroscopic wireless mouse and compare it to an actual product. However, having used the Mycestro (which does almost exactly what I wanted my home-brew mouse to do) makes me think twice about using a gyroscope/accelerometer for axis control.

  • Reply

@jsims78 the reason for this is ergonomics

  • Reply

@jsims78 I actually set up my mouse using four light receptors and an LED for axis control (instead of a gyroscope), so that when you shine the light towards any of the light receptors, the pointer moves in the direction of that receptor.

@jsims78 I wish the battery life were a bit better

@jkelley7b rather than twisting your wrist around to move the mouse pointer, you can also move your entire forearm with the mouse using your elbow

  • Reply

@jkelley7b I now feel like a complete dummyhead, as it turns out that indeed one can control the mouse by originating movement from the elbow instead of from the wrist.?

I have the same usb spliter?

this mouse is a waste of money. Why? You never get the precise feel of actually being full control.

@bfranklin7i I'm really glad that I found this, I was looking for a new mouse, and I saw a finger mouse and I was like wtf? lol?

  • Reply

@bfranklin7i how loud are the clicks??

  • Reply

@lmiller7k Use your middle finger in the strap instead. Easier to click and reach the scroll wheel.?

Hmm, I can see this being good for people whose hands have difficulty gripping things or get stiff because of arthritis. Is it a lot more comfortable than using a regular mouse??

@pkim7m It looks so cute ;D?

  • Reply

@pkim7m It is not magic! I tried in different surfaces on Win and on Mac, but no result!

@ppalmer7o Movements are hard 'touchable' perimeter smal, scrolling almoust not working.?

Yeah, but does it work with Linux?

@irobinson7q hmmm...just found the R2-D2 keyboard projector. Maybe you should redesign the mouse to look like K-9 from Doctor Who and call it a K-9 Mouse :o)?

@rstewart7w Looks to me like the next step in technology that will be used in lieu of using the mouse!

  • Reply

@rstewart7w The mouse will eventually be fazed out and this most likely will take it's place. I like the concept

@jburke7y Lower the prices and you will most likely have more positive feedback for this product! (Only my own opinion)?
